I'm not sure if Gimp has a slice tool. The image had a header, middle and footer, and a border. When I put them together in Kompozer or Front Page, there was a gap where the three images met. I looked at a template from www.alberthallado.com (another good site) that had a similar border. There was a html code for "BORDER COLLAPSE". I used it and the gap disappeared. I've checked a few sites and books and it is tough to find this code mentioned anywhere.
