How to build massive traffic to your website

Over the past 2 months or so I’ve been working with StumbleUpon to send people over to this blog. I’ve got to say it really works but only if you use it responsibly, ethically and do so in a way that delivers genuine content and value.

Just now I had a quick look through my WordPress Blog Stats to see what my biggest traffic spike has been thanks to StumbleUpon and it came to 1,176 in a 24 hour period for an article I wrote about how you really use the web (and it’s not what you think).

If you’d also like to see spikes in traffic like this then here are a few really great articles that explain in detail how it’s done, the pitfalls to avoid and the things you simply must do to make it work for you.

Before I show the free way I need to let you know that you can also buy your traffic from StumbleUpon which might sound like a great idea, but you really need to read this excellent article by my business coach Terry Dean before you go any further.

How has the page-load time on your pages been since using Google Analytics? I’ve refrained from using it for a while because whenever I go to a page that loads slowly and I see at the bottom it is loading from Google Analytics, I just click away impatiently.

I did try StumbleUpon paid advertising for another one of my sites and thought it was marginally interesting. I was primarily interested in using the quick boost of paid stumbles to generate more free stumbles, but I didn’t have Analytics in place to get the true traffic information.

If this is a very educational post I had no idea the explosiveness of the Stumble Community I’ve been a member since 2006 and never took the time to figure it out.
