Creating a Squidoo lense is a great way of getting started online, all you need is an idea and a subject to talk about. What’s also great about Squidoo is how you can use it to make money simply because Squidoo gives you all the tools you need.

Squidoo is designed for marketers by one of the best marketers in the world… Seth Godin! It’s a powerful online marketing tool you need to pay close attention to.

Here’s how easy it is to use…

With Squidoo you don’t need to know anything about HTML, in fact if you can type, point and click then Squidoo is designed just for you.

I first began investigating the power of Squidoo last year when I was developing and selling niche products. What I soon discovered was how easy it was to get my squidoo lenses were appearing in search engines like Google.

I can’t remember the exact website now but I know of a case where a Squidoo lense gained a #1 position in Google for a very specific long-tail search term and it didn’t even have any content! amazing! All it had was a title which contained the keyword phrase it ranked well for.

If this Squidoo lense website is still there today I have no idea, but I just wanted to mention it because it proved to me at the time the potential Squidoo had as an online marketing tool.

I’ve not created a Squidoo lense website for any of my recent projects, but I’m seriously considering it.

When you get a chance I recommend taking a close look…

When I was building Squidoo lenses last year I was able to create a content Squidoo lense in about 30 minutes flat …it’s that straight forward and user friendly.

When you’ve got your Squidoo lense set up here’s another tool I think you’ll find very useful…

It’s called Squidaholic and gives you some very interesting statistics about the SEO performance of your Squidoo lense in the search engines…
