You are making a big mistake if you assume you know your product and you haven’t checked every little detail of your product.
- Get to know your niche by viewing other websites. Subscribe to ezines and get all the information you can to make yourself an expert.
- Get to know your competition.
Subscribe to their newsletters and study the benefits that they have in their sales copy. Do they have a benefit you haven’t thought of?
Check out their prices and bonuses. Knowing your competition will allow you to offer better benefits and write a better sales copy.
- Find you target market, people who actually want and need your product.
Your ideal customer can be found by making a list of people who would benefit from your product. After you have identified you target market, you can now write specifically to those people. What benefit does you product offer that will solve their problems.
The best person to write your sales copy is you. You’re the one with the product knowledge and passion for your subject. Copywriting is turning this knowledge and passion into words on the page. Your success depends on how well you prepare.
