Sometimes clients are wrong and don&#039;t fully understand their market, their competition or even the potential of their own product. Trust me it does happen, I&#039;ve seen it.

So sometimes what your client wants or likes is irrelevant if it goes against what the right thing to do is that&#039;s going to help them sell more (which is the bottom line of their brief to you).

The challenge is then all about convincing your client that what they want isn&#039;t going to work. But if you&#039;ve done all your groundwork and the proper research this won&#039;t be difficult. </description>

People all too often want to do something that they like, not something that the customer wants or likes. As you wrote, knowing what your client wants is more important than knowing the product.</description>
