What can you do with these?

What can’t you do might be a better question.

You probably already know what you can do with private label rights to information products.

You can put your own name on them, you can give them a new title, you can change them, add to them, break them up, etc. It’s almost like you had written the material yourself, except you can’t sell private label rights to them.

You can even add audio, video, create membership sites, etc. You’re limited by ONE thing – your imagination.

Software works the same way, except if you want to alter the code, you might need to hire someone to do that for you, unless you’re good at that sort of thing. But hiring someone is super easy and can be done at a variety of sites that hook people up with coders all over the world.

But who says you need to alter the code? You can sell these products just as they are, with maybe a new name to jazz it up a bit.

Bottom line: John has spent the last 8 years of his life creating these products, and you can have full rights to them in one feel swoop. He spent far more than $150,000 creating these. In fact, that’s just how much he spent on the first two categories of products, so I suspect he may have spent close to half a million, who knows?

What I do know is that you and I don’t have that kind of money to create products. Okay, I know that I don’t have half a million… do you?

If you don’t, this is your once chance to get a boatload of innovation all completed and ready to go.

My advice; get the package, pick out your favorite products, and start marketing them immediately. With a little work, you can make your money back within a couple of weeks, and then cruise on profit for a couple of YEARS.

Squeeze Page Video Templates Reviewed

A few weeks ago we released a new product called “BigSellingVideoOptins“. Some weeks ago I got my hands on the new BigSellingVideoOptins Template Package by Brian Terry. It’s up to the user how much one customizes the templates. Changing the video link, headlines/text messages and auto responder codes is mandatory; fonts and colors can be kept as is, if one likes the look.

Furthermore I got an eBook about list building, lots of helpful video tutorials and unadvertised bonuses with BigSellingVideoOptins Template Package that support the handling and tweaking of the templates.

On the download site, all content is placed on one long page with instructions and links to the graphic files (which are delivered in zip-format). The more I check out this page, the more I like the presentation of all materials. The look is clean and structured, with a step by step guide to get the desired outcome. Just read through the text from beginning to end, download the software, templates and fonts, watch the videos, follow the instructions, and you will be done. I wish more internet marketers would use such a friendly “user interface” to support the learning experience.

Brian Terry from BigSellingVideoOptins doesn’t give you only instructions and templates; he also serves you with the tools you need: links to free software and complete screen cast courses on how to use them, i.e. Gimp, FTP programs or screen capture tools. So everything is easy going – if you’re not completely overwhelmed by this offer

After the customization of a template you just need to upload it to your server, link to it and watch your subscriber list growing.

If you already use an auto responder system and want to grow your list, this product is for you! If you are new to Internet Marketing and want to promote products (your own or as an affiliate), it’s for you too! BigSellingVideoOptins teaches you what you need to know about list building and gives you these professional looking templates.

The only downside I have found to this product is a missing instruction about how to finally integrate the customized html file into an existing website or blog. I already mailed Brian Terry about this inconvenience and I am sure he will find a quick solution.

BigSellingVideoOptins costs less than 50 bucks. All in all the nicely designed templates (which I wouldn’t be able to create on my own), the courses about Video Marketing and Gimp, as well as the listbuilding eBook and the courses on HTML and FTP (those are for technical newbies), are without any doubt worth the money. Top 10 Business Automation Tools

Are you freeing up your time and money with these business automation tools?

All of those repetitive tasks that normally take hours to do can be done in seconds with my top 10 list of business automation tools. In fact most of these tools are the “exact” same tools I use to help me run my online business. I stand behind each and every one of them.

Take a look through this “essential” list and put into use as many as you can!

1. 1ShoppingCart

With 1ShoppingCart you get all the tools you need to process online payments, deliver digital and physical products, run an affiliate program, track your sales conversions, contact your customers and affiliates via autoresponder and track orders and payments.

I’ve used 1ShoppingCart on and off over the past 5 years, now I use them exclusively because their system is rock solid and I can set up products for sale in just minutes with no messing around with code. Everything with 1ShoppingCart is point and click easy!

2. DLGuard

The only downside to 1ShoppingCart is there is no membership management available. So for example if you want to sell a digital product and offer your customers a username and password to access the download page you’ll need to use DL Guard as I do.

Unlike 1ShoppingCart DL Guard is a software script you need to install on your own website. It took me about 15 minutes to set up and configure, the support documents are very clear so you’re up and running within an hour.

Even if you don’t have 1ShoppingCart you can still use DL Guard because it has it’s own payment processing system built in. The only thing is this easy to install software script doesn’t have an affiliate management system so you really need to use 1ShoppingCart for that.

3. Aweber

I’m amazed at how many people don’t use a professional email automation system like Aweber! I’ve been using Aweber since November 2003 and I’ve got to say they’re the absolute best there is when it comes to automating email delivery.

With Aweber you can even automatically post a “tweet” to your Twitter account whenever you send out a broadcast email! Or how about every time you write a blog post? Aweber will automatically send out an HTML email to your blog subscribers telling them about it (if you’re on my blog email list that’s probably how you found your way here to my top 10 list).

As you can see Aweber goes way beyond giving you unlimited autoresponders! If you’re not using it yet you really should be.

4. TubeMogul

If you’ve ever created a video and spent 3 hours posting it to many of the social video hosting websites out there then you need to take a look at this service ASAP. It’s totally free to use and is a “big” time saver when it comes to getting your message out there and in front of the most number of people.

More than just automating the distribution of your videos TubeMogul will also give you countless statistics about your videos including how many people have watched them!

5. Ping.fm

What I like about Ping.fm is how much time it saves you. In fact this has got to be one of the biggest time savers out there when it comes to syndicating your content across the very best social networking websites.

The way Ping.fm works is you post your message on their website and that message gets posted to 40 social networking websites like Facebook, Plaxo and LinkedIn.

Of course this does mean you have to post your messages on the Ping.fm website. However there is another way…

Here’s how I use it…

First of all you need to install a copy of Twhirl (this is another automation tool I’ll get to in a minute, it’s one of the best applications out there for posting tweets on Twitter.com).

Within Twhirl you can enter your Ping.fm account details. Then whenever you post a tweet it’s syndicated to up to 40 other social networking websites through your Ping.fm account.

6. Survey Monkey

Don’t let this name fool you. It’s not a system for surveying monkey’s Although it’s probably easy enough for a monkey to use! What Survey Monkey does is it gives you a “super” easy way of creating surveys.

It’s through these survey’s that you can find out what your subscribers and customers want and need. When you know those kind of answers marketing becomes a whole lot easier!

7. Twhirl

If you post messages to Twitter.com then you need to get this application installed ASAP! If you’re not using Twitter to get your message out there then you’re missing huge opportunity because right now Twitter is a “red hot” marketing tool.

As I mentioned earlier with Ping.fm make sure you tie your Ping.fm account into your Twhirl application and every time you post a Tweet message you can get massive exposure through the power of syndication.

8. SubmitYourArticle

If you’ve been marketing online for even the shortest time you’re probably aware of the power of articles as a way of generating traffic and building your brand. However the problem with articles is getting them into the hands of as many of the “right” people as you can.

Sure there are applications you can download and use them to submit your articles to 1,000’s of directories but there’s a problem called “duplicate content” you need to contend with.

This is a “big” issue because when Google and other search engines see 1,000 of copies of your articles all over the Internet they’ll only consider the 1st one they find unique, rank it accordingly and ignore the other 999.

SubmitYourArticle has a superb solution to this because it provides you with a way of turning 1 unique article into many unique articles all at the press of a button as well as submitting it to the best places online.

One of the things I like about this service is how it’s more about getting your article published by “top tier” websites and even offline publications. It’s not about pumping out as many low value articles as you can then submitting them to every man and his dog in the hop of some traffic.

9. OnlyWire

In some ways this is similar to Ping.fm only this time you can submit your content right from your web browser to all the top social networking sites. They also include some other useful tools that make it possible for your website visitors to submit your content for you. It’s an interesting service I’ll be testing out myself very soon.

10. MindJetManager

This is one of my all-time favorite applications that helps me to shortcut the process of coming up with ideas. I’m sure you’ve heard of mind mapping before, well this software takes it to the next level whenever you need to brainstorm a new idea or develop new systems and procedures for the streamlining your online business.

Low cost video hosting? (here’s what I’m about to do)…

For the past 4 years or so I’ve been doing well using HipCast.com, thinking it was a great low cost solution to hosting audio and video. With HipCast I can record anything, then minutes later have it hosted on my blog… which is great when you need to move fast.

That was until the other day…

When I received an email from HipCast telling me I had exceeded my bandwidth for the month and was into extra charges! I checked this out and even though on their website it says “unmetered bandwidth” it turns out that for me it’s actually 5GB a month with $1 per extra 1 GB used.

How did I get into this extra cost? Last month I launched a new website BigSellingOptins.com which has a video at the top of the page hosted by HipCast. Because I’ve had lots of traffic arrive there it sent my “unmetered” bandwidth allowance above and beyond my 5GB for that month.

Here’s what I’m now going to do…

Use Amazon S3 online storage service.

It’s quite tricky to manage the files with this storage service because it doesn’t use regular FTP. So I’m going to use this simple FireFox plugin called S3 Manager (thanks to Terry Dean for telling me about this!)…

Now Amazon S3 isn’t free to use like the S3 Manager plugin but it is extremely cheap, here’s what I mean…

Do you remember how I told you that I was paying $1 per extra 1Gb I used over the 5Gb I was allowed by HipCast?

Check this out… Amazon S3 charges: $0.170 per GB – first 10 TB / month data transfer out… then the prices go down from there more you use. Using this service is a real no-brainer even if you just need a place to store all your products for your customers to download from.

Right now I’m in the process of moving a few products over to a new ecommerce solution (which I’ll tell you about later). As soon as I’ve moved them over I’ll be setting up an account with Amazon S3 …so they can host my videos.

Breakthrough WordPress Plugin Proves Popups Really Work!

You either love them or hate them! (it’s true).

As a visitor to a website you probably hate them, but as the website owner there’s a very good chance you’ll actually love them (but only if you use them right).

Why? because love them or hate them, popups flat out work!

It’s all about grabbing your website visitors attention for a few seconds more. Perhaps when they arrive at your website you might offer a free subscription to your newsletter, or when they leave you might use your popup window to find out why they’re leaving! The possibilities are only limited by your the your imagination.

I for one have been using Popup windows for years with huge success and I’ve spoken with countless other online marketers who’s experience has been just the same.

Probably the most creative I’ve ever been with using popup windows is to show a countdown timer. You can see what I mean when you go to my BigSellingConversions website here.

It really puts on the pressure for people to make a decission. If you don’t optin within the next 6 minutes 59 seconds this offer ends. And as you’re sitting there you can see the countdown time rapidly ticking away.

You see popup windows aren’t just about showing people random ads for unrelated products, which is probably what you hate about popups right? (it is for me!). Popup windows should be all about adding more value to your website or when done very carefully using the psychology of persuasion to get people to take action.

One of the most confusing and down right frustrating things I’ve found with adding popup windows to WordPress blogs is all the bits of code you have to mess around with just to get it to work.

In the end I decided to create my own WordPress plugin that automatically creates popup windows. All you do now is upload the WordPress plugin, activate it, configure it and you’re done.

Simplifying the complex to help you succeed…

If you’re new to the world of Internet Marketing I’m sure you’ve had a sense of just how much there is to learn. There’s a lot! Even though I’ve been online studying and applying Internet Marketing since 2000 I’m always learning something new, that’s one of the reasons why I love this industry so much.

Whilst my specialty areas within Internet Marketing are website design and traffic conversion I’ve been fortunate enough to learn what really works in Internet Marketing from some truly great people.

One of the things I like about life online is how quickly you can get your ideas up and running and making money. An example of this is this new website I’ve created called Big Selling Profit Maps. I came up with this idea early last week, by the end of the week I had a domain name registered, a website designed and a product to offer.

The idea for this website is very simple… it’s a way for you to learn and easily put into action Internet Marketing strategies that help you grow your online business.

Here’s what you get (for free)…

You’ll get what’s I call a “Profit Map” and a companion video that explains the details of the map. The map itself is simply a step-by-step flow chart you follow along to.

There’s one thing you need to remember when you create your own products online… keep it simple because simplicity sells.

Because I have no idea if this project is going to take off I’ve put in the minimum amount of work and not spent time making things perfect.

What I am giving you is something that simply works …which is all you really need right?

Where so many people fall over is they spend months developing their product without knowing if it’s going to work or not.

With Big Selling Profit Maps I’m rolling out just 1 part (1 page) of the whole project just to test out the idea. If it works I’ll make more profit maps and videos, I’ll then create a squeeze page and a one time special offer.

This is where the importance of having your own subscriber lists come in because I’ll be using my list to test this idea on to see if they like it or not.

If they like it I’ll make any changes needed then roll the whole project out, over time I’ll perfect it. If it doesn’t work I’ll not develop it any further and move on to the next project.

By doing this I’m minimizing my own risk, being more productive, helping more people and making more money as a net result. Which is what it’s all about right?

HellBoy 2 vs. Ninja Responder

I was half way through watching HellBoy 2 when I got a call from my good friend Tellman over in Vermont. Now if you know Tellman or you’re on any of his email lists you’ll know that he takes FAST action, basically when he has an idea he doesn’t hang around!

This was no exception! I was just getting into this great movie when the phone rang. It about 4pm in the afternoon over here in the UK.

The first thing Tellman asked me was “am I a Ninja?” What else can I say but “yes!” when it comes to graphics I’m a Ninja (lol).

The long and the short of it was Tellman had just set up a custom branded version of AWeber and wanted a logo. And the name of his new autoresponder service…. NinjaResponder!

This was by no means a normal situation, Tellman needed a logo for this ASAP (hence the need for a Ninja!). Usually I get a week or two do create a logo.

Tellman’s design brief was simple… design a logo that has the text “NinjaResponder.com” It needed to use a Ninja throwing star or some other kind of Ninja graphic… and that was it, nice and simple.

2 hours later here’s what I came up with for Tellman…

As you can see I managed to use a 5 pointed Ninja star in the design, the one I included on the “j” was Tellman’s idea which I thought worked really well.

The font I used for this was called “Republika Italic”. I needed to adjust the font a bit to make it more legible. The software I used was a mixture of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Are Your Sales Letters Psychic?

I couldn’t keep this one to myself for a minute longer…

It’s some free sales letter software from Eben Pagan that helps you to create sales letters that literally seem psychic to your website visitors. I just had to take a closer look…

What this software does is it creates a squeeze page where you ask your website visitors a series of questions. They then enter their name and email address and on the next page is a sales letter that’s customized to the answers they gave on the previous page. Then at the bottom of the sale letter is your order button.

I installed the software and tried out each step needed to get your psychic sales letter up and running and it’s very straight forward and easy to do. You don’t even need an HTML editor as it’s all build into the software for you.

The only downside I could find is you can only use this as a tool for list building if you have a GetResponse.com account. Otherwise the names and email addresses vanish into a black hole somewhere and so defeating the purpose. I’m sure the code can be adjusted to use any autoresponder service but you need to know what you’re doing.

As someone who loves Macs and prefers to use them I had to fire up my PC for this one because it only runs on Windows, which is a great shame but I do hear of a Mac version coming soon.

Other than that if you’re just starting out online or have some experience already (and have a PC) this software is well worth taking a close look at because of it’s potential for increasing your sales conversions 100 fold.

Before doing anything else you really need to watch Eben’s video first because it does a much better job at explaining how everything works than I’ve done here…

I don’t know about you but I love to customize my websites and not stick to pre-defined templates so I’m going to see how far the pages this software creates can be pushed. The biggest thing for me is can I make adjustments to the code and sales letters so I can hook it up with my own e-commerce system.

Don’t boil this crazy egg (update)

Back in January I ran a 7 day test using this interesting new online website visitor tracking service called Crazy Egg. (Here’s the article I originally wrote Don’t boil this crazy egg).

Essentially what this online tracking service does is it tells you which links are the most popular ones on your website. You can then use this information to optimize your websites ability to convert visitors into subscribers or customers.

As soon as you login to your CrazyEgg account you’re shown a really well laid out and easy to navigate dashboard that shows all the tracking campaigns you’re running.

So you can see that during this time I had 25 visits and 17 clicks in total for that page.

To be totally honest with you that figure of 25 visits is something I’ve not been able to verify with my Google Analytics stats that I was getting so I have to question the accuracy of the tracking. I’m going to run another test on another site to see how accurate the tracking really is, right now I’m just not convinced by it.

For the purpose of just showing you what you get when you use this still very interesting online tracking tool here are my other results…

CrazyEgg provides you with a couple of ways to look at the data you get back on the clicks the links on your site has gotten. The first way is a heat map…

Then you can switch to overlay mode and you get something like this…

What’s interesting is how many people clicked on the check box, even though the form would still work without the checkbox being checked. The reason for doing this is to use the idea of commitment and consistency, when you commit to doing something by taking a positive action you’re more likely to follow-it through to the end by being consistent in your actions.

Is CrazyEgg worth using?

Definitely, but with one caveat… make sure you also track your visitors using a service like Google Analytics to compare the visitor numbers.

Based on the what I learned the numbers of clicks were not high enough to get any kind of significant information from them. Ideally you need around 200-300 visits to the page you’re testing to get meaningful results.
