Just a quick post today to share this fantastic resource I discovered today (thanks to John Delavera)…

Photoshop Action Scripts

Way back in 2002 I began experimenting with creating 3D ebook covers, in those days there wasn’t even any decent software to create covers for you. So everything I created was done by hand using nothing more than Adobe Photoshop and a lot of trial and error patience.

Finally someone created the software needed to render different covers in 3D, but it wasn’t the best solutions because you still had to mess around with 2 programs to get the result you wanted. Now I’m a big Mac fan so when I got that program I was also having to switch between my Mac and PC just to get the results I wanted. (Mind you it was still quicker than doing it all by hand).

As soon as I found someone selling Photoshop Action scripts I couldn’t believe my luck because I could stick to using Photoshop on my rock solid mac. Whilst those action scripts were good (’ve been using them for 3 years now) there wasn’t anything better available… until now.

You see today I found the ultimate solution…

These are the very “best” Photoshop action scripts I’ve ever seen for 3D covers. In fact the collection of 3D cover action scripts is huge!

Sure there are other people who offer Photoshop Action Scripts but none come anywhere near what Ben Clemons and Josh Fulfer have created with this new product of theirs.

If you like to create your virtual covers yourself and you use Photoshop this is the solution that beats everything else out there. The moment I saw this action script package I had to get myself a copy… earlier today that’s exactly what I did.

Not only do you get 50 action scripts to create 3D covers for everything from ebook covers to USB thumb drives but you’re also given over 2,000 sales page graphics and 40 pre-made Photshop templates. All these things combined with the superior quality of the actions scripts make it a real “no-brainer” option for creating some real kick butt 3D covers.

Since posting my last video about how to create “aqua” order buttons using Photoshop I’ve had quite a few people find my blog looking for instructions on how to slice a Photoshop file into a website.

Not only this but a good friend of mine got stuck and had this exact same question…

“How do I slice up a Photoshop file into a website?”

Watch this 5 minute video and I’ll show you exactly how it’s done. Then I’ll show you where you can pick up some free Photoshop website templates that just need image slicing in Photoshop and turning into live websites.

(If you’re watching Joe I hope this helps!)

If you’re stuck for website design ideas or you’d like an easy starting point for your new website design then here’s a website full of layered Photoshop templates ready to go. All you do is make the changes you’d like to make then slice them up and add them to your HTML page.

Here’s where you can get some free Photoshop (PSD) website templates…
http://www.freepsd.com

But the very best place for Photoshop website templates has got to be:
http://www.templatemonster.com

As usual… any questions, just let me know.
