Centralize, Systemetize then Monetize

Did you know that… there are 3 essential components you need to begin using right away to become “super” successful online?

The problem I see every day is how people go online, set up a website then fail to earn a dime.

And most of the time it’s because they’re not using these 3 essential components within their online business.

If you’ve read this far after reading the title of this post you’ve probably already guessed what those 3 things are.

But do you know what they mean? or even how to apply them to your online business?

Let me explain in 3 easy steps…

Step 1: Centralize

Here’s where so many people go wrong!

They use the scatter gun approach to running their online business. So usually they’ll have one resource here, another over there, then one more around the back. Each one needs a username and password to access.

Can you see the problem with this approach? Look at how much time is wasted jumping from one website to another just to be able to run your online business.

Centralization of your resources is the solution. There are many ways of doing this. The most obvious is to use an online ecommerce solution which has many of the tools you use already built into one place.

For example with a centralized ecommerce solution your autoresponders, your affiliate programme and your customer management systems are all in one place. There’s just 1 login to access all your “mission critical” data.

Step 2: Systemetize

When you systemetize the way you work online everything gets done quicker and more efficiently. Another way to look at systemetization is by creating set procedures for the tasks you do on a regular basis.

To find out exactly what you need to systemetize just write down everything you do online for at least 3 days.

Then look for those things you do on a regular basis then write down the steps you go through to complete those common tasks.

Now every time you go to do those things you pull out your steps and follow them.

This way you don’t have to think as carefully, you know exactly what you need to do next and you’ll know how long it’ll take to complete. You’ve now created a system to follow.

Why not take it one step further, create a video showing how you complete those tasks then outsource it to someone else to do. This frees up your time to work on monetization…

Step 3: Monetization

So what’s monetization?

It’s all about looking for new ways of making more money from what you’re already doing.

It could be locating places within your website which could be more effectively used and turned into cash.

For example, after someone has placed an order with you are you giving them a one time special offer on an upsell to their original order?

Are you using your subscription thank you page to generate more revenue by making recommendations to products you’re able to earn affiliate commissions on?

These are 2 ideas off the top of my head to help you get started with monetization.

When I Centralized, Systemetized and Monetized my own online business it added another zero to my monthly profits and it’s still growing!

This is how powerful it is.

I really want you to get this and begin applying it to your online business. So what I’ve done is created a mind map diagram that explains how everything connects. I’ve also included some bonus tips for you…

Look for ways to bring your resources closer together, at the very least get all your links into one easy to access place.

Then write down all you do online for at least 3 days to see what tasks you do on a regular basis that can be turned into steps someone else can follow.

Take a close look at your website and see what other opportunities you have to make more money from what you’re already doing. Can you add a product recommendation to your subscriber thank you page?

Can you add a one time special offer before or after someone buys something from you? What about a popup on exit window containing an optin form so those people leaving your website can join your subscriber list?

So there you have it the 3 “essential” components you need to begin using right away to become “super” successful online.

If you’ve been marketing anything online for even the shortest period of time I’m sure you’ve heard about the importance of listbuilding.

Listbuilding has been going on for as long as emails could be entered into a website web form, yet so many people just don’t fully appreciate the value of doing this one simple thing.

You see whilst you could spend countless hours and untold dollars generating traffic for your website it’s always going to be a “one hit” affair (or maybe 2 or 3 if some of your visitors come back to your site again).

Now the thing about listbuilding is when someone visits your website for the first time you offer them something of value in exchange for their email address. That’s literally all your website does…

Take a look at these examples of how I build my own lists of subscribers…

When you visit those pages above you’ll see that the main focus of the page is to get your name and email address in exchange for something of value.

Now, just in case you’re wondering how well those pages convert visitors into subscribers here are those stats…

= 47.3% of visitors become subscribers.

= 58.8% of visitors become subcribers.

Those figures are reached whenever I send targeted joint venture traffic to those pages. They will vary all the time depending on the quality of the traffic they get. But nevertheless they convert traffic into subscribers extremely well.

Here’s where the power of listbuilding comes into it’s own because now you have that persons email (and permission to email them) you can send them to any website you choose.

It can be sending your subscribers to your own website again, it could be your blog or it could even be another website you’re recommending. Of course you still have to use the power of persuasion to get them to those website, that’s a whole different conversation.

But nevertheless once you start listbuilding you can really start to see a difference to your bottom line (whatever that might be for you).

Just recently listbuilding has become a huge phenomenon online with Tellman Knudson and Shawn Casey’s recent launch of their List Pros intensive listbuilding training course.

What’s different about their course is it costs nearly $2,000 to attend and lasts only 6 weeks, it takes your listbuilding skills to a whole new level (as you can imagine for that kind of cost!).

Anyway… that’s not really the point of what I’m about to share with you, I just wanted to illustrate how important listbuilding is and that people will pay vast sums of cash to learn how to do it properly.
